Just south of Kristinehamn is the summer home of the Equmenia Church. It used to be the harbour master's home, but today it serves as a parking lot and chapel. The location is beautiful as the caravan park is on a headland with water on two sides. There are 13 pitches but if you ask nicely, you can also use their "emergency pitches" which are not marked. The practicalities are handled on site by the "caravan park manager" and cannot be booked in advance.
There used to be a small café here too but unfortunately it was closed when we visited. According to their website it is open daily during summer time. However, we could not find any information about opening hours.
You can also use the toilet, shower and washing-up facilities at an extra cost. They were all well cleaned but somewhat worn and perhaps the most remarkable thing was that there was only one of each for over 13 pitches. There was also no possibility to empty grey water and latrine. So, in other words, excellent location but slightly simpler facilities.
