Lade Caravan park

A functional car park, nothing more.

When we visited Trondheim, my goal was to sit outside the car and have a glass of rosé in the sun before walking down to the city for a good dinner. It didn't quite work out that way. It turned out that Trondheim's two car parks have a total lack of charm in favour of practical storage for all the tourists' motorhomes. The one closest to the centre was filled to capacity and looked too sad, so we moved on to Lade, which is about three kilometres from the centre.

Despite the broken target image, you have to have some understanding that Trondheim residents do not want their city centre full of motorhomes and therefore have this solution. It is more of a car park where the motorhomes are lined up. However, it should be said that it is cheap if you only book the hours you intend to stay. A tip is not to pay with the Easy Park app as it will be more than twice as expensive compared to paying with the car park's own payment solution. Furthermore, there is a fresh facility for emptying grey water and sewage and fresh water for refilling.

Once the more practical things are sorted out, you can focus instead on looking around the beautiful old town, for example visiting Nidaros Cathedral as you see below.
