You might think that Västergötland is flat, and it certainly is, but right between Lake Vänern and Lake Vättern, a man from Switzerland has built his own little Alpine village. Camp in the mountains has six cottages for rent and about the same number of pitches for motorhomes. The pitches cannot be booked online but it is perfectly possible to call before you arrive.
The campsite is located in a small wooded area out on the Västgöta plain just outside Tidaholm and is run by a couple who do everything to make you feel comfortable. When we arrived we were met by Hanspeter who showed us around and made sure we had the right connections to the electricity and other practical things we might need. The campsite has all the facilities with toilets and showers as well as a washing up room, it also looked like a washing machine installation was underway. There is the possibility to empty the grey water and toilet tank, although these steps were somewhat complicated.

The area is peaceful and quiet so you can have a really comfortable stay here. Little details like the towels by the sink and the cosy lit paths between the cabins make this campsite get a high rating from us.
