Say hello👋 to Henrik and Eva Rendahl! This summer you will be able to join them on their journey between Swedish vineyards and then south through Europe to fantastic Alsace and Champagne! 🥂

Henrik and Eva are two bon vivants who met over a casserole at a cookery course, almost exactly ten years ago. While it may not have improved our skills in the kitchen, it's still hard to complain about the course 😄 Soon after the course, we went champagne tasting and the rest is history. This also illustrates our two main interests, food and wine," they say.
Henrik is 52 years old and a former IT nerd who now works with business development and innovation management. In his spare time he builds log houses and sings in a choir. Eva is 44 years old and works as a general counsel. She is an inveterate everyday cyclist who has managed to convince Henrik that bicycles are a must in the motorhome. In her spare time, Eva likes to move around, but the few times she sits still, it's with a good book.

🚐When did you discover motorhome life?

A few years ago, we had rented a house on Lake Como to celebrate Eva's 40th birthday. Unfortunately, the pandemic came and we had to rethink. What should we do? Well, of course you do a gastronomic road trip in a motorhome. We rented a little tiny one for a week and quickly realised that this was something for us. We decided right then and there that as soon as we retire, it will be a motorhome.
-A few years later we popped into Motorhome Land to have a look at future purchases. As you know, the best time is now, so we jumped at the chance and left with our very own Bobo, our motorhome.

🚐 You are active bloggers and your travels can be followed in several different channels. Please tell us more about them. How did your interest in travel blogging start?

When the pandemic hit, we couldn't travel as much as usual. We started dreaming about the trips we wanted to take when the misery was over. We were also inspired by other travel bloggers, but at the same time we realised that we also had exciting experiences to share. That's when rendahls.se was born, which they call an "experience blog" because it's not just about travelling. You don't always have to travel to experience exciting things, a fantastic dinner can be a journey in itself. Writing is also a way to extend the experience and on rainy days you have something to cheer you up, they say.

🚐 When Henrik and Eva then became motorhome owners, they started another blog, knapptstyrfart.se, which mainly contains tips on pitches.

However, we have plans to do more with the site. What would you like to read about? Can you give us some tips in the comments?
Henrik and Eva will be kicking off their social media blogging for Motorhome Land by taking us to four Swedish vineyards to sample their offerings. It also happens to coincide with the start date of the farm sale and we're keen to find out what the winemakers think. Who knows, we might get the chance to buy a bottle or two as it's always nice to favour local produce. 🍷🍇 A few weeks later, the journey continues down in Europe. Their plan is to go through all of Germany and over to Alsace. There it will be, among other things, the Wine Route with a long line of cosy little fairytale villages such as Colmar.

When we're tired of still wines, we'll head to Champagne where we'll visit Reims and Épernay in search of some smaller champagne houses and farms. Maybe we will also have time for a trip to Ypres and Normandy but we will see how far we get. We tend to go astray when we see a sign pointing to something exciting. We have even coined a term, Slowcation. Once we had to get from Sala to Västerås, it took us two days... As I said, sometimes we barely have steering speed... 😀
