If you want a campsite near the lake, this is an excellent choice. Lysvik camping is a relatively small campsite with both seasonal and regular pitches. When we were here many years ago, the ”seasonals” had all the waterfront sites but this time it was more mixed. Great that all guests now get a chance to get a really beautiful place. In addition to camping, there are also cottages for rent.

Lysvik Camping has most facilities with toilets, showers and a small kitchen. Everything is a bit older but still clean and fresh. There is also fresh water and the possibility of emptying the toilet tank, but not grey water drainage. Maybe it is difficult to fix so close to the water?

You can easily book a campsite or holiday cottage via the website, and if you want to go the extra mile, you can also book breakfast.
In Lysvik you hardly need to go hungry. Less than a kilometre along the beach is Grandma's ice cream parlour, a summer café known for its ice cream creations.
If you prefer to stay at the campsite, you can visit the restaurant The Pearl of Fryken. Here we had a good dinner in a rustic setting with an incredible view of the water.
Overall, Lysvik camping is a nice campsite in beautiful surroundings. We visited the campsite during the weekend when Smaka på Värmland was going on and the area was full of local producers selling their products, which made our stay extra good.
