"Hello all bon vivants!

We have decided to sell the house! Why on earth, you might ask.

This summer's motorhome holiday has come to an end and we are so glad you joined us on our trip. Four weeks on wheels gave us memories for life - from fabulous half-timbered houses and vineyards in Alsace, via bubbly in Champagne, to poignant life stories in Ypres. A journey that mixed pleasure, history and freedom in a motorhome.

I can't believe we didn't chicken out and headed down to Europe. Being the motorhome novices we are, we thought it would be demanding and complicated, but it turned out to be much easier than we thought. The motorway was stressful and the narrow roads in Alsace sometimes felt too narrow, but if you just take it easy, it's no problem. The reward is delightful if you dare!

... but what about the house? The contrast with everyday life became clear when we arrived home and were faced with all the things that needed to be fixed at home. Suddenly, the house felt more like a burden than an asset. After an incredible summer, we have re-evaluated how we want to live our lives. For us, life has never been about having the most stuff but toasting to the most memories. No, we won't be moving into the campervan full time, but instead getting a small apartment. This will allow us to free up time and focus on new discoveries.

We look forward to many more motorhome adventures and we hope you will continue to follow us. Who knows, it's a small world and we might bump into each other out there.

Au revoir lawn, bonjour freedom!”
