Hello all bon vivants!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hope you've had a great week and that you're not tired of reading about wineries, because here are a couple more. \ud83d\ude04<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before heading on to the Kulla Peninsula, we stopped in \u00c4ngelholm. The city was not really on the schedule at all, but at one of the wine tastings we met a super nice couple from there and they gave us all their best tips on nice shops full of goodies. This is exactly what is so fun about being out on tour. You meet people from all corners of the country (sometimes the world!), and pretty much everyone wants to share their top tips in their neighbourhood. For example, did you know that there is a great cheese shop in \u00c4ngelholm? And a chocolate shop? And a tea and coffee shop? Yes, you hear, the motorhome was full of goodies when we came down to Arild's vineyard where we had booked a motorhome package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, have you noticed that many restaurants, spas and farms that are a bit out of the way now often offer campervan packages? They offer dinner, activities and breakfast for a good price. There are also often good pitches close to the farm. At Arild's vineyard we had booked just such a package and we could then live next door to the farm and had access to very nice brand new bathrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Arild it was not a long distance to cycle to Kullabergs vineyard. By the way, I'm very happy with our folding bikes that are easy to pack up and put in the garage. They will come in handy when we drive around Alsace in a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enough about the bikes... we were on our way to Kullaberg for a vineyard walk. We started with lunch in their cosy greenhouse, then it was time to go out among the vines. The tour was accompanied by good wines from the farm, first some bubbly and then some different wines as the tour went further down towards the winery and wine cellar. A fun way to try the wines of the farm!
Back at Arild, it was time for another vineyard walk. A bit boring perhaps? No, not at all. These farms are run by people with a passion for their work and each tour is therefore unique. During this walk, one of the owners told us about how he and his wife bought the dilapidated Sk\u00e5nel\u00e4ngorna together and followed their dream when they planted the first vines. \ud83c\udf47<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same owner then jumped out of his wellies and set about serving dinner. Now it was really noticeable that it is a family business and even the children got to help serve. After a really good dinner served with the farm's wines, we took a walk in the fine evening sun. Kullaberg and Sk\u00e5ne are really beautiful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following day was the day with a capital D in the Swedish wine world. At last the farms could open their shops for over-the-counter sales. There was almost a settler atmosphere at Arild and all the customers were curiously browsing the shop in search of exciting wines. We picked up the wines we got for dinner yesterday and a bubbly of course. So at the stroke of ten after a unanimous countdown, the shop opened and it became an exuberant commerce. Maybe we hadn't sharpened our elbows enough but a little while later we came out as customers number three in the history of the farm. It was fun anyway and so nice to be able to favour local producers. Now we hope that Swedish wine production takes off! \ud83c\udf77<\/p>\n\n\n\n
