It's easy to get sweaty on the narrow serpentine road leading up here, but it's well worth the effort. Fortunately, it is possible to book the seats in advance so you do not make the journey unnecessarily. The hotel is located in the centre of Rondane National Park, which gives access to a number of hiking trails. It's also a slightly unusual mountain as there are meadows with grazing animals wandering around enjoying life at high altitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it is primarily a hotel, you can also get a buffet breakfast, lunch and three-course dinner in packages with the pitch. There are also barbecue facilities and a kitchen if you prefer to cook your own food. As for facilities, we have seen many complaints in the reviews but when we were there, they had just got there absolutely excellent barracks with fresh toilets and showers. A nice touch was also an unheated outdoor pool and sauna overlooking the mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was somewhat unclear how many seats they had but they were divided into three plateaus, of which we chose the top one. It gave a great view but when it was windy, you couldn't be sensitive to a little sea swell. Despite the wind, it is an excellent campsite that we would like to go to again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
