In previous posts, I have criticised car parks located near cities. They are usually shabby and undersized. Here we have the exact opposite. Flekkefjord seems to have realised that it can be smart to park motorhome tourists close to town and in a pleasant environment. The car park should still be sufficiently \"boring\" so that you do not stay and grill at the motorhome but instead go into town to eat at one of the restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flekkefjord campervan camp<\/a> is a practical and well-organised car park with all facilities such as electricity, showers, toilets and grey and black water drainage. It is not possible to book in advance, but there are plenty of spaces so it is certainly no problem. We arrived quite late in the afternoon and there were still lots of vacancies. Within walking distance you have a number of grocery stores, however, keep in mind that these are rarely open on Sundays, something we Swedes are not so used to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you've got everything sorted, you can walk the short distance down the harbour to the centre. Flekkefjord is a very cosy wooden town with small white houses. There are a number of restaurants both in the centre and on the harbour promenade.
