Camp Polcirkeln is actually a winter campsite that primarily has seasonal campers. However, they do have 6 pitches that you can book during the summer season. You book by calling them; all details can be found on their website. web. The campsite is run by a family, and they also have a well-stocked shop and petrol station adjoining the campsite. We received excellent service; they even kept the shop open late for us and lent us a vacuum cleaner when we accidentally dropped a glass in the motorhome – that kind of thing is always appreciated! If you happen to have your snowmobile on a trailer, you can also get it serviced at the snowmobile workshop.
It is a bit sad and desolate to stay at an empty campsite in the middle of summer; we were the only guests in the six pitches available. On the plus side, you could think that we had a fresh service building all to ourselves, and we didn't have to queue for the shower or to wash up. I imagine it's a lot livelier during the winter months, and we would certainly have enjoyed it more then. However, it was a practical and convenient stopover on our journey.
