Camping Poroholma, Rauma

Enjoy camping in the wooden town of Rauma.

On the outskirts of the old, beautiful wooden town of Rauma lies a large campsite by the water. Campsites, which is five-star, has its own sandy beach and we managed to get a spot there.

When you check in, a guide will help you find the best available spot according to your preferences. Although it's a large campsite, it still feels peaceful, it's leafy, and you have plenty of space. The campsite is, of course, bookable and all facilities are available here. One of the service buildings was so new that the scaffolding was still up, and it was also clean and tidy everywhere.

There are also several different restaurants with slightly different styles. The restaurants only have outdoor seating, which might be a bit impractical at these latitudes, though campers are generally not afraid of a bit of bad weather. Luckily, we had a break for a while on this otherwise rainy day, so we ate a super tasty pizza at the beach bar. If you'd rather eat in town, it's about three kilometres away, but there are good cycle paths, so it's no problem getting there.

In the area around the campsite, there are pleasant walking paths and a fine old watchtower that you can climb up.
