Finally, the premiere of our motorhome! This is also our first post about good places to stay. Naven car park was named by the magazine Caravan & Motorhome as Best Caravan Park 2023. It must be a good stop for the premiere tour, we thought and went there. At Naven you can book in advance which is very good, then you don't have to stress but can calmly chug forward and still be sure to get a place.
The car park is small and only has room for 13 smaller motorhomes, six of which are down in the harbour right next to the water. We had booked a place in the harbour and here it was super cozy to sit down to celebrate the first trip with a bottle of champagne while looking out over the water. If you don't want to sit right next to your car, you can also set up your dinner on some of the prepared tables down on the piers.
We spoke to a man who has been coming here every summer for several years and he said that it doesn't get any better than this when it comes to pitches. Even though we don't have much to compare it to at the moment, we can't help but agree. In addition to the beautiful location, it is incredibly well organised here. We were met by the owner who took us on a tour to show us all the facilities. There is a newly built service house with fresh showers and toilets as well as a kitchen with both washing machine and dishwasher. There is also both electricity and wifi. Above you can also see a picture of the cute little sauna that you can rent for a hundred.
When you've had your fill of champagne, saunas and sunsets, head up to Naven Outdoor Experience and hire kayaks, canoes or bikes. Then you can explore the rest of Kållandsö and everything there is to do in the area. Some tips you'll get if you look here.
We had a really good start to our motorhome life and are so glad we found Naven. The only downside is that it's a darn narrow road there and we got our hearts in our throats a few times when we met other cars on the road. However, it was well worth the journey there.
