It may sound like an estate agent's advert, but it's actually true. We visited Läckö campsite before we bought our motorhome but it was such a nice place that it still gets to be included here on the motorhome page. Läckö camping is a small forest campsite right next to the castle and each visitor gets their own little forest glade to park their car or pitch their tent in.
The campsite can accommodate about 25 cars but the clearing is quite small so it was mostly smaller motorhomes and camper vans there. If you have a very large vehicle, it might be a good idea to call first and check with them that your car can really fit. The pitches can be booked on the campsite website which is very convenient.
The campsite has two service buildings, a smaller one with only toilets and a slightly larger one with a shower and kitchen. Furthermore, there is both latrine and grey water drainage. Everything was fresh and in good condition, even though the campsite was a little wet after the terrible storm that passed the days before.
In addition to Läckö Castle, the area also has Naturum with an excellent restaurant, Hvita Hjorten. If you want more tips on what you can do here, read on to our posts about Kållandsö and Läckö.
