Real motorway service area Camp Gysinge

Stay at the adventure camp at Färnebofjärden National Park.

Right next to Gysinge Herrgård is Camp Gysinge which also has pitches. They only have seven pitches but they are all located down by the water with beautiful views. Five of them have electricity and the remaining two are made for smaller motorhomes. As well as pitches, the area also has tents and huts for large and small groups. There are also plenty of places to swim, picnic or light a fire in the evening.

The pitches are bookable if you email them a few days in advance. We had not pre-booked, but since we stayed at the mansion's caravan park the previous night, we were right nearby when the pitches became available. We were therefore lucky enough to snag the best spot closest to the water. Sometimes you have to be lucky. 🙂

Camp Gysinge doesn't have many facilities but there is a toilet and you can get fresh water on site. We did not find a shower but it is close to the water and the bathing jetties so if you are not cold it is fine anyway.

We liked this caravan park much better than the manor house. It was almost like a cosy little village and you were just as close to the Naturum, the mill sheds, the restaurants and Färnebofjärden National Park.
