Camping by canoe, Ed

Where the wilderness begins.

Canodal is actually a canoe rental service located right between Stora Le and Lilla Le in beautiful Dalsland, but out on their small peninsula, they also have a number of pitches for glamping tents and smaller motorhomes. You live under the trees right by the water's edge, so if you have a large motorhome, it's probably better to trundle further down towards the guest harbour, which has slightly larger pitches.

We found Canodal through Park4Night and called ahead to book a spot. This evening we were the first ones there, so we could choose freely and found a truly beautiful clearing with a view over Stora Le. If you want electricity, you should bring a slightly longer cable, at least if you want to park at the very end of the peninsula. In addition to electricity, there are also all facilities such as a toilet, shower, water, and emptying of the toilet tank, but not greywater.

On Canodal, there's a small bar that's open during the facility's opening hours. Here, you can buy simple food and pizza. It's also just under a kilometre to the centre of Ed, where there are a couple of restaurants and a grocery shop.
