This might well be Scandinavia's northernmost campsite as it's located just after you come down the steep road to the North Cape. The weather was truly dreadful when we were here, so the photos don't really do the location justice, but the campsite is beautifully situated with mountains and lakes all around. Actually, these are three camps, all with slightly different characters; we stayed at Red Camp.
You book a spot via Hyttecamps website and then choose which of the three campsites you want to stay at. You can choose a pitch with or without electricity, and all facilities such as fresh water, waste disposal, and service buildings are available. We chose the red campsite as we had read somewhere that they had the best service building, which we were in need of. We found everything to be clean and in order, even if it was a slightly older standard. There are also washing machines and tumble dryers here for a small fee.
The campsite is located near the small village of Skarsvåg, where they run a restaurant called Fish Harbour. We heard that it's supposed to be good, but due to the bad weather, we didn't get the chance to try it.
